As an educator for nearly 20 years, Darci has followed a passion for making Science lessons relevant and authentic for her students by implementing lessons that are content- and career-driven. Currently a Biotechnology and Medical Anatomy & Physiology Teacher at Castle Park High School, in the Sweetwater Union HS District of San Diego County, Darci guides her students through Science concepts while allowing them to explore and practice career skills. She has also served on the HASPI curriculum development team from 2009-2015 and continues to provide HASPI Curriculum and Events support from 2016-2020. Darci also has experience developing and maintaining healthcare pathways by serving as the Science Innovation Academy Health Pathway Coordinator for the past 14 years and provides CTE experience in Biotechnology as the coordinator of the ScienceBridge Biotech Site and Distribution Center, in partnership with Biocom, in the SoCal region.
